This book is about a futuristic psychologist and what happens to him when he is hired to treat the world's richest, and most beautiful, psychotic. This is an unusual vision of life in the far (near) future, where technology is king, money buys you a standing seat on the council, and mutants are bannished to live underground.
This is Jamil Nasir's first novel, and it is a surprisingly good effort. There are subtle hints of true paranoia, and a few Big Brother references to make things nice and tidy. Sometimes things seemed to happen too quickly, so I had to read parts of this very carefully, but in all I can recommend the experience. Plus there is some great stuff in here about extra-terrestrials, mutants and cool high-tech machines.
